Unlike other envelopes seed packets are small-sized and securely sealed.
The front side of a seed packet displays the picture of a plant and its complete name, the reverse side bears sowing instructions, manufacturer data, shelf life of seeds and other useful information.
Seed packets/envelopes can be of different shapes but all of them are small-sized as seeds are packed by weight. Usually a seed packet has a hole (euro-slot) for retail hangers.
Seed packets are normally made from white gloss paper, and the packets are printed in bright full color. Currently seed packets made from kraft paper are becoming popular. Such seed packets are printed with short text or labeled with a sticker with seed information. Seed packets of this type are not that bright but have a rustic-style and ecological look.
