If you are an owner of the rings, perhaps you know interesting facts about your car brand. If not, here is the most interesting:
August Horch - is a founder of the company. His last name is traslated from German as "hear", the same as "audi" in Latin.
So the name of the company is a last name of the founder in Latin.
In 1995 International Olympic Commitee was trying to prohibit Audi to use it's logo with four rings due to similarity with Olympic games emblem. A court made a decision in favor of Audi.
In 2014 at the opening of Olympic games in Sochi one of the five rings of Olympic emblem did not open, then Audi fans published the posters with text: "When four rings is all you need".
